Unger SwivelLoc 0 Degree Handle

I normally use the Excelerator 2.0 handle (which is fantastic) for my pole work. But a recent large job had over 100 narrow transom windows with deep ledges, and neither the 10 degree or -5 degree options on the Excelerator handle would allow a consistent or efficient close out. I used the Unger 0 degree handle on a pole paired with a Moerman liquidator channel and Fliq pad to clean those windows, and that combination worked great.
I do like the handle and its performance, but (in my opinion) one huge drawback is its lack of a quick-release option for the channel. Just to change a rubber, you have to unscrew and completely release/remove the channel. The bolts are held in place by small locknuts, so you likely may also need a pair of pliers to hold the nuts while you loosen the bolts. This is much more time-consuming than many other quick-release handles, and I don’t know why Unger designed it this way. It is a very inefficient design that should be updated. But the handle itself did function well and saved me considerable time when I used it in combination with the Moerman setup, so it was a worthwhile purchase to have as a backup in the toolbox for those limited occasions when the Excelerator handle is not working for me.
