High-strength oval carabiner

The Petzl Oxan carabiner is a symmetrical, high-strength steel carabiner designed for use in difficult environments. The oval shape allows optimal loading of the carabiner when setting up anchors or connecting to metal structures.

The Petzl Vulcan carabiner has a fluid interior design to limit the risk of having a catch point and facilitates rotation of the carabiner and the Keylock System to prevent any accidental entanglement in the rope or anchor point. The H-cross-section provides an optimal strength-to-weight ratio and protects the markings from abrasion.

This Petzl Vulcan carabiner has the Triact-lock automatic system. Unlocking it is accomplished by raising, turning, then pulling the sleeve.

This carabiner can be used with a Petzl CAPTIV positioning bar (sold separately) to promote loading the carabiner along the major axis to limit the risk of rotation, and to keep it integrated with the device.
