High-strength, lightweight asymmetrical carabiner
The Petzl Bm’D carabiner is a light-weight, asymmetrical aluminum carabiner. It has a D-shape that is ideal for connecting equipment such as descenders and positioning lanyards. The sleeve is reinforced for greater front and lateral gate strength.
The Petzl Bm’D carabiner has a fluid interior design to limit the risk of having a catch point and facilitates rotation of the carabiner and the Keylock System to prevent any accidental entanglement in the rope or anchor point. The H-cross-section provides an optimal strength-to-weight ratio and protects the markings from abrasion.
This Petzl Bm’D carabiner has the Triact-lock automatic system. Unlocking it is accomplished by raising, turning, then pulling the sleeve.
This carabiner can be used with a Petzl CAPTIV positioning bar (sold separately) to promote loading the carabiner along the major axis to limit the risk of rotation, and to keep it integrated with the device.
